Maple Mehndi was formed in 2011 when artist Bridgette Bartlett first started mixing henna powder. In search of the perfect paste, Bridgette was trying out a variety of recipes. Sugar is commonly added to henna paste to help the henna adhere to the skin. Being a native Vermonter, Bridgette started adding maple syrup to the mixture and was thrilled with the results.
Today you can find Bridgette applying her home made henna paste in India during the winter months, and on Martha’s Vineyard during the summer season. Be sure to follow Maple Mehndi on Facebook and Instagram for upcoming events and recent photos.
