WELCOME!
Bridgette Bartlett started Maple Mehndi when she fell in love with henna in 2011. She mixed her first batch of henna at her mom’s house in Vermont using pure maple syrup as a substitute for sugar, a key ingredient in henna paste to help it adhere to the skin. In the decade after this, Bridgette spent extensive time traveling and perfecting her henna mixture and technique. During this time she also moved to Martha’s Vineyard to embrace the seasonal lifestyle and ended up making the island home.
Today, Maple Mehndi provides an experience that honors the timeless and auspicious ritual of henna traditions loved by people all over the world. The artistry weaves classic motif and contemporary patterns in to innovative henna designs that are unmistakably Bridgette’s work. This mastery of henna has attracted clients from a wide variety of cultures, countries and backgrounds seeking the highest quality henna for their special events. Bridgette is also a sought after instructor for workshops both internationally and domestically.
